Employment

Our Lady of Sion College adheres to the Statement of Principles regarding Catholic Education as set out by Catholic Education Melbourne. All staff in a Catholic school have a vital role to play in supporting the full flourishing of students.

Vacancies:

Our Lady of Sion College, located in the heart of Box Hill, is a Catholic College for girls that holds a deep commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and the spiritual growth of our students. Inspired by the teachings of the Church and the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion, we encourage our students to know God, inherit the traditions of the Church, and actively seek to transform the world.

Teaching

Applications are invited for the following Positions of Leadership commencing at the start of the 2026 school year.

The tenure is for two years after which all positions of leadership will be re-advertised. The positions are attached to permanent teaching roles.

Wellbeing and Growth Leader (POL 3)

The Year 11 Wellbeing and Growth Leader has a direct and specific focus for supporting the wellbeing and growth for students in that year level.

Humanities Learning Leader (POL 3)

In this full-time role you will be responsible for leading the Humanities department and driving innovative teaching practices to inspire our students.

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to teach Geography, Business and Economics.

Mathematics Learning Leader (POL 3)

In this full-time role you will be responsible for leading the Mathematics department and driving innovative teaching practices to inspire our students.

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to teach Years 7- VCE Mathematics. The ability to teach Specialist Math would be an advantage.

Technologies Learning Leader (POL 3) (Re-advertised)

The Technologies Learning Leader is a visionary and strategic practitioner, responsible for leading a team of dedicated educators.

Our ideal candidate will be experienced in implementing digital pedagogies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The ability to teach Digital Technologies and VCE Applied Computing would be an advantage.

Ongoing, Full time Mathematics and Science Teacher

The College invites applications for a Years 7- VCE Mathematics and Science Teacher, the ability to teach VCE Biology would be an advantage.
